Cadastre and real estate turnover

The real estate cadastre is a public record of real estate and real rights to it. The Republic Geodetic Institute keeps records on plots, buildings, special parts of buildings, as well as on owners and other holders of rights (mortgages, easements, notes, etc.). Registration in the cadastre is of key importance for legal certainty, because property rights and other real rights to real estate are acquired, transferred and protected precisely through the registration procedure.

The transfer of real estate includes purchase and sale, gift, exchange, inheritance and other forms of transfer of property rights. Any legal work related to real estate requires a careful legal check of documentation, a check of the situation in the cadastre and proper implementation of the procedure before the competent authorities, in order to ensure complete legal certainty and protection of the interests of the parties.
